A 1992 US Olympian, Mr. Breen knows what it means to
perform at optimal function. Competing all over the world in
the sport of Ice Dancing, and training in sports and dance
medicine for over 20 years, Mr. Breen is an expert in
physical movement and rehabilitation. He has treated
patients in world-class centers such as the US Olympic
Training Center in Colorado Springs, The National Ballet of
Amsterdam, and Harkness Center for Dance Injuries in New
York City. A graduate of Boston University’s physical
therapy program, Mr. Breen has treated individuals from the
very elite athlete and professional ballerina to weekend
golfers and senior citizens. He brings a tremendous breadth
of experience to help his patients recover from injury and
achieve their performance goals.

Along with exceptional standards for treatments, Mr.
Breen believes that community outreach is a vital component
to the success of any healthcare organization. He has been
very active as an Athlete Representative and a Team Leader
with the US Figure Skating Association, the United States
Olympic Committee, and a founding Board of Directors member
of the United Sates Anti-Doping Agency. He is also a member
of the International Association for Dance Medicine and
Science, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the
National Athletic Trainers Association.
Anne Hamer, MSPT, CSCS

A 2000 graduate of the University of Miami’s top ranked physical therapy program, Ms. Hamer is skilled in a variety of manual therapies for the treatment of orthopedic injuries and movement dysfunctions. Her clients range from world class athletes and performing artists to non-athletes and senior citizens. Ms. Hamer has extensive world-wide experience treating elite athletes and performing artists for over 10 years, including Cirque Du Soleil’s KA’, Zumanity, Mystere, Quidam, Delirium and KOOZA.
A former NCAA division 1 collegiate and semi-professional soccer player, Ms. Hamer has been involved in sports training and conditioning for most of her life. Having competed in 2 marathons (Kiawa Island and Boston), local triathlons, master’s swimming events and summiting Africa’s highest peak Mt. Kilimanjaro, she understands the dedication needed to achieve optimum performance.
Ms. Hamer is committed to continuous learning and professional development in rehabilitation medicine. Having traveled the world for continuing education, she has a wide variety of treatment options available for her clients. She is able to implement the most effective and efficient treatment techniques to attain the movement and performance goals of each patient.
Veronique Breen

A recently retired ballerina from the National Ballet of
Amsterdam, Mrs. Breen is also a certified GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS instructor, and owner and founder of Motion
Arts studio, located next to Backstage PT. Trained in
massage therapy, Mrs. Breen has a comprehensive knowledge of
anatomy and injury prevention which complements her already
exceptional knowledge of body movement.
Mrs. Breen serves as an excellent resource for Backstage
PT’s dancer and performing artist patients, being able to
offer technique modifications and corrections upon return to
active dance. Also, with Motion Arts studio right next door,
patients can have the convenience and reassurance to safely
progress their conditioning program with GYROTONIC or
GYROKINESIS following discharge from
formal physical therapy.
Mrs. Breen is a member of the Boston Dance Alliance, the
International Academy of Dance Medicine and Science, and the
American College of Exercise. |
